Pixar's Cars (2006) Trailer

Synopsis

Pixar's Cars (2006) follows the famously talented racecar Lightning McQueen. Lightning is a self-centered rookie sensation who is determined to win the biggest race of his young career, the Piston Cup. On McQueen's journey to the championship race, he experiences miserable circumstances, ending up in a small town called Radiator Springs, a forgotten town on the old Route 66.

After getting into legal trouble and wrecking the road, McQueen was forced to stay and repair the damaged road. Once the road was completed, he was able to leave and make his way to the championship. Through Lightning's time in Radiator Springs, he meets Mater, who will soon become his best friend, a friendly yet silly tow truck, and Doc Hudson, an older car who has a mysterious racing past. McQueen learns valuable lessons on becoming less self-centered and discovers the actual value of friendship and caring for others while in Radiator Springs.

The lessons that McQueen learned on his journey to Radiator Springs were crucial for his growth as the movie progressed. By the end of the film, his priorities had shifted to doing what he felt was right by supporting others and putting his own self-absorbed goals aside. His journey has allowed him to demonstrate a sense of Transformation and Redemption and to discover what truly matters in life.
